Water & Flood · 24/7 Response
Burst pipes, storm flooding, roof leaks and appliance failures — extracted, dried and rebuilt. We answer the phone at 2am.
Water & Flood
Water damage compounds fast. Within hours it wicks into drywall, baseboards and subfloor; within a couple of days you are dealing with swelling, delamination and microbial growth. The difference between a dry-out and a gut-and-rebuild is usually how quickly somebody got the water out and the structure drying.
Houston gives us every version of it — Gulf storm surge and street flooding, hurricane rain driven under shingles, burst supply lines, failed water heaters and overflowing upstairs bathrooms. Each one behaves differently, and each one needs a different drying plan.
Building Edge Construction responds 24/7, extracts the water, sets professional drying equipment, and monitors moisture until the structure is actually dry — not just dry to the touch. Then, because we are a construction company, we rebuild what had to come out.

Know the Signs
Standing water, or carpet and pad that stay wet after extraction
Staining, bubbling or soft spots on drywall, ceilings or baseboards
Buckling, cupping or separating floors — wood, laminate or vinyl plank
A persistent musty smell, especially in closets or along exterior walls
Water that came from a roof leak, so the attic and insulation are involved
Any water that sat longer than 24–48 hours before it was addressed
Unsure how far the water actually travelled? Moisture meters find what your eyes cannot. Request a free inspection.

Common Questions
We respond 24/7 and move as fast as we can get a truck to you, because extraction speed is the single biggest factor in how much has to be torn out. Call (832) 951-8777 any hour.
It depends on the source. Sudden, accidental water — a burst pipe or a storm-driven roof leak — is commonly covered. Gradual leaks, long-term seepage and rising flood water usually are not, and flood is typically a separate policy. We document the source and the damage and work directly with your carrier.
Most homes dry in three to five days, depending on how much water there was, what materials got wet and how long it sat. We monitor with moisture meters daily rather than guessing, and we do not pull equipment until the readings say the structure is actually dry.
Microbial growth can start within roughly 24 to 48 hours on wet organic material, which is why fast extraction and verified drying matter so much. If we find growth we address it with appropriate remediation procedures rather than painting over it.
Both. A lot of restoration companies dry the structure and hand you off to find your own contractor. We are a construction company, so the same team that dries your home rebuilds the drywall, flooring and finishes.
It varies with the size of the loss, the category of water and how much material has to be removed, so we assess before quoting. The inspection is free, and on a covered claim your out-of-pocket is usually just your deductible.
